What causes dark circles under your eyes?

The most common cause of dark circles or bags under the eye, is  drop in collagen production, if there is a drop in collagen production; as a result of aging, then definitely the skin under the eye will be the first to be affected, the skin under the eye are one of the delicate and tiniest  as well as the most active part of the skin, for example in just a minutes you involuntarily blink about 15 times, this is why we are not talking of when  foreign bodies like flies and dust or  insects try to get into your eye.
Therefore the skin, around the eye get more tired and stressed than any of the skin around the body and this will definitely cause tiredness.
When this skin are worn-out they are automatically replaced by new ones  as a result of action of the active skin hormones like elastin an collagen.
But unfortunately as we age , the activities of these hormone should I say the production of these hormones  reduces and the renewing of the skin ceases, this is why the skin appear wrinkle and thin.
The skin become thin and less firm and elastic, this makes the blood vessels in them to appear black this is why we saw this below our eye, and we call it a dark circles.
We can reverse this by using special anti-aging or skin rejuvenating cream or serum, these are substance that are specifically formulated to  aid new skin cell rebirth, though they come in different forms for different skin types { oily, dry, normal or sensitive} but they all have same function to: rejuvenate the skin.
Other causes of these  dark circles are hyper-pigmentations,  a condition that cause production of melanin, a hormone that aid skin complexion, very common in black people.
