This treatment is more effective when use on children , as  amblyopia development is more pronounced in childhood than adulthood.

 this is aimed to force the weaker eye to work better like the other eye;  it is one by blocking the better eye and forcing the weaker eye to see clearly, this will  exercise the weaker eye and make it more active. This should be used on child be used on a child for at least an hour a day, you r child may show some initial resistance and may try to take off the eye patch but with time i will get use to it. The best solution is to use an eye patch that is skin irritation-free, so as to avoid the child from scratching the area.
Other measures to correct weak or lazy eye are vision therapy, which includes, visual-motor processing activities , neurological therapies and  eye exercises .
