Allergic conjunctivitis caused by the presence of
dust, pollen grains, fur in the body can be treated herbally, even though the
infection can go away with time but there is the need to reduce the severity of
the symptoms, below are some of the herbal remedies for allergic conjunctivitis.

Eyebright tea: An eye bright flower can
be used to prepare a tea, because of the antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties
of this plant, it can soothe an allergic conjunctivitis.

Plantain paste: this plant contain silicic
acid, a natural relieve for inflammation, plantain has a great soothing and astringent
properties ,this makes it perfect for treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.

There is a need for herbal
treatment of conjunctivitis due to the fact that sometime a persistent use of
antibiotics may made them un-effective and side effects that some chemical have
on the body, therefore there is a need for herbal treatment .
Conjunctivitis; an
infection affecting the conjunctiva, a layer under the eyelid thereby covering
the eye cornea, which can be bacterial, viral, allergic and or caused by irritant like chemical etc, conjunctivitis caused by bacterial infection can
be treated using antibiotics, allergic conjunctivitis can be treated by remove
the allergen by the eye, unlike viral type ; this type cannot be treated with antibiotic
