Allergenic conjunctivitis,
a pinkeye caused due to the irritation caused by the presence of some “poisonous
substance” ( allergens are not poison by themselves but the body sees them as a threat), below are
some of the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis:

Redness in both
eyes: this can be called bloodshot, it happens
when the delicate blood vein in
the eye widen and it may due to a burst of the tiny blood vessels and thereby causing blooding in the eye, the
normal white part of the eye appear red,

Itching
·
Burning sensation
in the eye: caused by presence of allergen in the eye, like dust, pollen from
trees, grasses and weed, insects flown into the eye.

Watery eye: also
known as tearing, this simply a tear
over secretion, mostly caused by irritations or inflammations. This is also a
symptom of a dry eye, because the eye will try to evade the dryness by
producing more tears.

Photophobia: this
is discomfort or pain to the eye due to the exposure to light, it is caused by
irritation or inflammations that irritate the eye, foreign bodies in the eye
can also cause this.

Itching: this when
the eye get red , teary and itchy, other causes of itchy eye are dust , pollen
grains from grasses, trees and weed, fur or dander, this is very common in the hay season and
they are called seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
The best remedy
to allergic conjunctivitis is to remove the eyes from the eye, or the condition
causing the allergic reaction, this condition can be infections in the eye or
other part of the body like glaucoma, bleparitis etc or the condition causing the allergic
reaction can the environment, in a dirty windy environment , dust and pollen
grains can easily get into the eye.
