Looking at a bright screen in the dark definitely
affect the eye, your eye has a pupil, an organ that focus light, it move forward
or in other word it become larger in the dark so that large amount of light can
enter and becomes smaller in the bright light or in other word move backward
when there is a bright light,
This movement will wear-out the eye, the eye have
very thin blood vessels, have nerves and muscles that are very delicate and
tiny, any small movement or constant friction can cause what is called eye
strain.
Therefore using
a computer screen, watching tv, or using a phone in the dark is not advisable
at all.
What is the
solution
The best
solution is to reduce the brightness of the screen, doing so will reduce the
light contrast between the screen and the rest of the room. Alternatively you
can switch on the a dim light in the room to at least reduces the contrat in
the room,
Remedies
If it become
necessary for you to us a screen in the dark,
then do the following
Moderate how often you use the screen in the dark,
don’t make it a habit , if it is your day
job that forces you to use the computer
in the night , because of your tight schedule during the day, you can adopt a different approach, why not change your schedule, move your computer tax task to the weekends, and do the non-computer-task in the night,
for example if you are busy in the weekends you can exchange your works, move
the non-screen work to the weekends and do the non-screen stuff at night.
For example
if you it takes 5 hours to use the screen per day, that will be 25 hours for five working days, you have 48 hours in
the weekends, you understand what i mean!.
