Can common vision problems be inherited




Vision problems can be inherited, in fact they are called eye  hereditary diseases, these are eye infections that are inherited from generations to generations, there are diseases that if your parent are having , definitely one of your grandparent may be having and you or your children may have it .  This does not mean that you are going to be affected with all eye vision problems your parent and grandparent have underwent.
 The best way to establish if an eye condition is hereditary or not is to undergo a medical test for the gene causing the problems.  Researchers have now discovered  most hereditary eye diseases  and here gene , therefore in order to establish if you can be affected this his or no is to find out if you have inherited these genes,
 Your body has two type of gene, the dominant and the recessive gene, if you have a dominant gene that suppress these vision loss causing genes , then you are going to have these blindness, or in other word if this genes are your recessive genes then you will not have these eye infections, on the other hand if the genes are your dominant gene then definitely you will have these eye vision problems.

Mocular degeneration: a formation of blood vessels below the retina, these abnormal blood vessels will leak causing  serious and severe vision problems:
Glaucoma: an eye diseases characterized by the damages to the optic nerves, these are often irreversible damages and will lead serious vision loss.
Cataract; an inflammation of a thin lining on the eye lens, this will result to the clouding of the pupil and causing vision loss.
